Recovery Counseling – A - NYS licensed to provide DWI, DMV, alcohol & drug evaluations and 12-week education program. Treatment includes intensive outpatient group and individual therapy for chemical abuse/dependence, dual diagnosis psychiatric consultation and family interventions. Residential Facilities:

Criminal Justice Intervention:

Auburn Drug & Alcohol Treatment Court - Treatment court for non-violent offenders. Programs to address problems of alcohol, substance abuse and associated criminal behavior. City Court, 157 Genesee St., Auburn, NY 13021. (315) 253-3001

Cayuga County Stop – DWI Program – Coordinates local efforts to reduce alcohol and other drug-related traffic crashes utilizing all the fines collected for alcohol and other drug-related traffic offenses. 2nd Floor, 152 Genesee St., Auburn, NY 13021. (315) 253-1303.

Support & Fellowship:

“Alcohol/Substance Abuse Support in and around Cayuga County” – Pamphlet lists meeting schedules for AA, NA, Al-Anon and Alateen in Cayuga County. Available from Cayuga Community Health Network, Carr Bldg., 188 Genesee St., Ste. 207, Auburn NY 13021. (315) 252-4212.

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) – A - Voluntary fellowship of men and women who meet to attain and maintain sobriety. Meetings held in Auburn and Cayuga County. 100 E. Manlius St., E. Syracuse, NY. (315) 463-5011.

Al-Anon Family Groups – A, Ad, C - Support organization for friends and family whose lives have been affected by alcoholism in a family member or friend. Meet weekly Thursday at 8:00pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 17 William St., Auburn. For location of other meetings call (315) 471-0191.

Gamblers Anonymous – Worldwide organization that offers a self-help recovery program for the families and friends of compulsive gamblers, whether or not the gambler seeks help or even recognizes the existence of a gambling problem. Narcotics Anonymous (NA) – A - Voluntary fellowship of men and women who meet to attain and maintain sobriety from drugs. Five (5) weekly meetings held in Auburn and Cayuga County. Marty Rindfleisch, local NA contact. (315) 253-3651.

Prevention Services (Youth):

DART Program – designed to meet the needs of school aged youth in grades K-6. The program focuses on substance abuse as a health issue and is provided in the classroom setting in all rural Cayuga County elementary schools.
Intervention Program – provides assessment and individual brief counseling to at-risk youth in the home setting in Union Springs, Cato—Meridian and Moravia school districts.

Prevention Network – Prevention Network is a not-for-profit agency that educates, trains, and provides prevention services pertaining to substance use, abuse, and addiction to the Central New York community. Reality Check is a youth action program, open to any students ages 13-18, with the main goal of exposing the manipulative advertising and marketing practices of the tobacco industry. 1050 W.
